Description
The Two-Hearted 4wt. Fly Rod — Ultralight Power, Small-Water Precision
Don’t let its weight fool you—this rod packs a punch.
At just 3.1 ounces, the Two-Hearted 4wt. is an 8’6″ ultralight, fast-action rod built for anglers who demand both finesse and firepower. Crafted from cutting-edge nano-carbon fiber, it’s designed to dominate small rivers, streams, and tight tributaries where resident trout and panfish hide—but with enough backbone to drive streamers 50+ feet when the moment calls.
Inspired by the legendary Two-Hearted River in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, this rod pays tribute to untamed waters and the adventurous anglers who fish them. Whether you’re roll casting under overhanging limbs or launching a sinking line into deeper runs, the Two-Hearted 4wt. delivers smooth loading, crisp recovery, and pinpoint accuracy.
Its strength lies in the details: a proprietary layup of 30- and 40-ton directional nano-carbon fiber, layered with precision on a custom mandrel. The result? A featherlight frame with rock-solid stability and flex where it counts—giving you a rod that feels alive in hand, yet controlled in motion.
Why compromise between feel and force?
With the Two-Hearted 4wt., you don’t have to. It’s the perfect blend of sensitivity, speed, and stealth—ready to take on wild fish in wild places.
The rod comes packaged in a cotton Brook Trout sleeve and a hand-made white pine case as shown. The case is made from Michigan white pine, reclaimed from a 19th century farm house. The hinges and hardware are hand-picked to match the time-period. It’s a beautiful piece of Michigan history. The case measures 30″ long, 4″ wide, 3.5″ high and weighs 5lbs 8oz.
