The Two-Hearted Fly Rod Case: A nod to the fly fishing pioneers of the late 19th century! This hand-crafted case includes the fly rod, fly reel, maple fly box, leather streamer wallet, backing and double-taper floating fly line as seen above. This case is well-constructed and durable, built to endure for generations! It is intended for heavy use including traveling, camping and of course, fishing.  The character and condition of the wood and grain is uniquely beautiful, conditioned by over 130 years of Michigan weather. The hardware includes unique non-mortise hinges, replicas from a 19th century farmhouse. The leather handles are handmade in Michigan and secured with antique trunk handle caps. Every detail of these cases is considered.

Orvis Battenkill III-Silver click & pawl reel:  I chose the new Battenkill III Silver to pair with the 5wt for a couple different reasons.  1) It is nearly identical to the size, shape and look of the classic Hardy 150 with all the components of a classic click and pawl reel.  I love this reel.  It has a classic look and feel!  2)It is light-weight with a very slim profile.  This reel is a “minimalists dream.”  It has a 4 position drag system which is used in concert with the palm of you hand to slow down and fish, just like in the good ol’ days!  3) The Battenkill Silver is machined from a heavy duty bar stock aluminum.  It’s durable with minimal moving parts, build to last!

Unlike other streamer wallets, ours has a modern twist. Adjacent to the typical fur you’ll find in other streamer wallets, ours has a high-density slit foam pad designed to easily pull flies and streamers in and out of your wallet without getting stuck in the fur. It’s also a big bonus for storing articulated flies, keeping both hooks securely in the foam. The fur adjacent top the foam, helps protect the flies and streamers from being crushed and helps to dry water-logged flies.

Coaster Fly Box:  This fly box is hand-crafted from Maple wrapped in White oak.  The lid features a hand-drawn Brook Trout design, machine stamped onto a solid brass plate measuring approximately 3.5″ x 1.5″. A magnetic closure ensures secure and seamless access to your flies.

Inside, the box is lined with high-density slit foam on each side, providing organized storage for over 50 flies.
