Since 2018, we’ve been building bamboo fly rods with a simple focus: do one thing exceptionally well.
That approach began with the Two-Hearted 7’6” 5wt—a rod that has become the foundation of our work. Over the years, it’s defined our standard: smooth casting, versatile performance, and the quiet, deliberate feel that makes bamboo on the water something special.
As our craft has evolved, so has the Two-Hearted family.
After more than a year of development, testing, and refinement, we’re now introducing a second taper: the new 8’ 6wt. Built for bigger water, heavier flies, and more demanding conditions, it carries the same DNA as the original 5wt—just scaled for a different kind of fishing. It remains unmistakably Two-Hearted: smooth, controlled, and deeply connected to the water.
And today, the first rod is ready.
Rod No. 001 of the Two-Hearted 8’ 6wt is now available through a $2,000 donation directly to Trout Unlimited’s Coaster Initiative. This rod is not part of a traditional retail release. Instead, it is being offered as a direct contribution to the restoration and protection of native Coaster Brook Trout in the Great Lakes.
