Where Your Support Goes
When people donate to conservation organizations, they often never get to see the work taking place behind the scenes. We wanted to change that.
The photographs below were taken by fisheries biologists working on the southern shore of Lake Superior. These dedicated professionals spend countless hours hiking remote tributaries, collecting genetic samples, documenting wild populations, and gathering the scientific data needed to better understand and restore Michigan’s native Coaster Brook Trout.
It means long days in cold water, carrying equipment through dense forests, navigating difficult terrain, and carefully collecting samples that will help answer important questions about the health and future of these remarkable fish.
These are the people helping preserve one of the Great Lakes’ most iconic native trout.
